Westwood, MA (June 19, 2008): The staff of Gray, Gray & Gray, LLP, an accounting firm with offices in Westwood and Framingham, has raised more than $16,000 for the American Cancer Society during that organization’s annual “Relay For Life.” Billing themselves as “Gray Walkers for a Cure,” a team of 20 staff members from Gray, Gray & Gray participated in the dusk-to-dawn charity walk, after receiving pledges and donations from clients, business associates, family and friends. Overall, the Greater Norwood Relay for Life raised over $120,000 for the fight against cancer.
Howard Karp, a partner at Gray, Gray & Gray and co-chairperson of the 2008 Greater Norwood Relay For Life, says that the firm’s participation is just one way that staff members give back to the community.
“We have all been touched by cancer in our lives, personally, in our family or among our friends,” said Karp. “The Relay For Life gives us an opportunity to fight back against the disease.”
